Step 1: Update your Ubuntu system:

Before we start, it’s a good idea to update the installed package list,

sudo apt update

Step 2: Install PHP 8 on ubuntu linux

Now, we can install PHP 8(.1) in Ubuntu linux

sudo apt install php8.1 -y

this will install all required packages including PHP 8.1 package.

php8.1-cli – command line interpreter
php8.1-common – for documentation

Step 3: Install PHP plugin(Optional)

php8.1-mysql – for working with MySQL databases

php8.1-curl – HTTP requests in PHP

php8.1-mbstring – non-ASCII strings
